Climate of Marrakech:
Marrakech
has a continental climate with hot summers. In winter night
temperatures may go down to the frost point. From November to March,
temperatures hover around twenty degrees on the day. It rains very
little in Marrakech. The Chergui, a hot wind from the Sahara,
contributes to the hot summer temperatures.

Koutoubia:
Marrakech
Koutoubia is the landmark,it dates from the twelfth century and has
served as a model to build the Hassan Tower in Rabat and also at the
Giralda in Seville.
The tower is seventy-seven meters to the top of the boom, Koutoubia is not open but you can walk in the gardens all around. Don't miss, at sunset, the Koutoubia lights, giving him a different look.

Jemaa el Fna:
This square is the principal tourist attraction of Marrakech.
Real "court of miracles", it is animated by an intense life to offer an
fabulous spectacle. Onlookers, musicians, shopkeepers, dancers, snake
charmers, healers ... form a whimsical and colorful crowd. At nightfall,
the gargotiers then settled and the place is transformed into a vast
open-air restaurant where you are able to enjoy a low price all the
local specialties.
The restoration is outdoors, in the foreground: tagines.
From the terrace of the cafes in the square, one can perceive the chain of snowy mountains a few miles away.

Souks:
In the souks of Marrakech you will find:
- The souk brass.
- Smata souk (Souk slippers).
- Chouani souk (Souk weavers).
- Habbadine souk (Souk blacksmiths).
- The souk of dyers (Beautiful pictures guaranteed as many colors).
- Cherratine souk (Souk leather).
Friday
(day of great prayer) everything is almost closed between 11h and 16h;
and also during certain festivals such as Eid el Kebir.

Menara:
Menara is located not far from the center of Marrakech,
it's a large garden with forty varieties of olive trees around a vast
pool that serves as a reservoir for irrigation of plants.
This
basin is fed by an old hydraulic system called Qanat allowing to bring
water from distant mountains thirty kilometers from Marrakech.
The
Menara Gardens were built around 1147 by the Caliph Abd al-Mu'min which
seized Marrakech in establishing the Almohads who supplanted the
Almoravids.
